Mexico!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone who reads Cara's blog!

This is Cara's sister, Amy, writing. Cara is letting me use her blog to write stories and post pictures of Mexico because I don't have a blog of my own yet. I will more than likely post more than once seeing as I am now recovering from getting my wisdom teeth removed.

I really enjoyed Rancho 3M again this year. I was really able to get to know the teens at Rancho 3M a lot better.

For those of you who either go to CrossWay or received our e-mail newsletter update, this may be a bit repetitive. Sorry :) Also, sorry it's so late. I was having trouble uploading the pictures.

To start with: the Game Nights! This was an awesome time for me and the rest of the teens on my trip to get to know the Ranch teens. We bought about six different games - Sorry, Jenga, Farkle, Connect 4x4, Sequence, and Uno - and junk food. It was great for breaking the ice. I think it also helped Sophia, one of my friends whose family recently moved down to help at the Ranch, connect better with the Ranch teens.

Here are three pictures from the last game night while my team was there:

From left to right: Isaac (18), Esmeralda (13), and Valeria (16/17)

Crazy boys!! From left to right: Sammy (14), Irvin (13), and Brayan (14)

From left to right: Myeyam (13), Norma (28), and our own Beth (16)!
One of my favorite little boys, Gilberto, is a really cute (and funny) kid (12) whose two older brothers are Sammy and Irvin (pictured above).

Here's my team!!

I really enjoyed getting to know all of them better. Mr. Seaver and Mrs. Robbins are really characters.
Left to right:
Back row: Mr. Seaver, Juan, Lauren, Mr. Jakubisin, Thomas, my Dad, Mrs. Bakita & Mr. Robbins
Front row: Emily, Jose, Irvin, Luan, Stephanie, Marcos, Cezar, Lisa, Angel, Chelsey, Christian, Josh, me, Brayan, Mrs. Robbins, & Allehandro.
A few members of the second team had arrived the night before this photo shoot and so they were able to take the photos for us.
In our soccer match, the Mexicans (plus Flash) beat us 3-1. We scored the first goal!!! It did help, though, that they were missing four of their key players. The second week (with Landon, Kaitlyn, and Mrs. Holm who are great soccer players) was able to bet them 3-2. How exciting! The Mexicans wanted a rematch but our second team decided to stop while they were ahead.
They really enjoy playing baskteball too. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of them playing basketball:
Way cool!!! Left to right: Tao (staff), David, Andrew (an intern), Jorge (18), Jorge (Sr.)

Awesome!!!!! Left to right: Isaac, David, Jorge, Brayan, & Pancho

Playing basketball with a soccer ball. How silly! Jorge, a staff kid.

Thanks for reading! There will hopefully be future posts!

Oh no! No more wisdom for Amy. :) Haha, I hope you feel better soon. :)

How many people (besides the interns and Mexico team) were there? (i.e. residents of Rancho 3m, guests, children, etc.)

Too bad you don't have pictures of the soccer match...but it looks like you all were happy and active! :) Did the whole Mexico team from Crossway participate in the games?

To Josiah:

My mouth is feeling much better now, thank you. There is 40+ kids, staff is about twelve (not including the kids of the staff). No, only those who wanted to play soccer in the match did and that wasn't everyone.
